Week 4 Top Plays and Fades

Here at Go For Two, we’ve split players into a few different categories. We’ll give you a Go For Two option, a field goal play, and a turnover on downs. The Go For Two option is a player that is rostered in very few leagues, but has the potential to blow up and win you the week. This is a player that you start and bask in the glory when they go off. The field goal option is a player that is a borderline start, but we are giving you confidence this week. Start them and enjoy the points that you collect. The turnover on downs player is a highly rostered player who is set up to disappoint you. Do what you can to avoid a turnover on downs.

Field Goal Plays

Tyler Lockett, WR Seattle – Lockett has been off to a mediocre start to the season, much like we expected. The Seattle offense is a long ways from being high powered, and Geno Smith is not quite the gunslinger Russell Wilson always was. I like Lockett this week though, who plays against the hapless Detroit secondary. DK Metcalf is still the No. 1 receiver on the Seahawks, but he will likely be shadowed by Jeff Okudah, who has shutdown Devonta Smith, Terry Mclaurin and Justin Jefferson so far this season. If Okudah shadows Metcalf, Lockett should see a decent number of targets with a good chance at a touchdown. Start him with confidence as a WR3.

Elijah Moore, WR NYJ – With a favourable matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers this week, Moore projects as a safe low end WR2 / high end Flex option. Zach Wilson’s return should be a welcome boost for Moore, who is still operating as the Jet’s WR1 based on targets and usage. While you might be disappointed with Moore’s performance so far, the talented receiver should have his best performance yet in Week 4.

Turn Over on Downs

DJ Moore, WR Carolina – Moore is legitimately one of the most talented receivers in the NFL. Unfortunately for him, Baker Mayfield is legitimately one of the worst quarterbacks to ever throw the ball. To put it in context, Baker is making Sam Darnold, Kyle Allen, and Teddy Bridgewater look like they were good starters for the Panthers. This week Moore will likely be shadowed by Bryon Murphy of the Cardinals, who is a very good corner. Moore will likely still get 6+ targets, but could very easily just turn that into 20 yards and no TDs. More is still talented enough to take a screen to the house, but leave him on your bench for now if you can.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire – In a world where Jerick McKinnon appears to be the 1A option in a committee backfield, it may be time to sit CEH. Kansas City visits a stout Tampa Bay run defence this week, which further reduces Edwards-Helaire’s ceiling this week. Unless you plan on chasing touchdowns, there are better options than CEH this week.

Go For Two Option

Josh Reynolds, WR Detroit – Reynolds is the last man standing for the Lions, with Swift, St. Brown and Chark all out for the week with injuries. Reynolds has great chemistry with Jared Goff, and will be the number one target for the Lions on the outside. Last year, with Swift out, Reynolds had 3 weeks as a top 36 receiver in a 4 week span, including a No. 12 & 14 finish. Reynolds will certainly lead the Lions in receiving yards, and has a decent chance at a touchdown. Start him in your flex with confidence unless you have another outstanding option.

Bonus Play – I Play Fantasy Football for the Vibes

Andy Dalton, QB New Orleans – The Red Rocket rides again. If you’re looking to stream a QB in 12/14 man or superflex leagues this week, Dalton might be your guy. If you’re already an owner who drafted Chris Olave late, this is your opportunity to have possibly the best ‘bang for your buck’ stack of the year. Yes, the shadow of Taysom Hill looms over the New Orleans offense, and this might be a Kamara breakout game but Dalton is by far the funnest QB stream. In a week where Mitch Trubisky or Matt Ryan might have uninspiring performances, why not see if Dalton airs it out in London.
